How are the meetings held?

  • The Booster presenter reveals the features of a competence under consideration and raises the bar for its performance.

  • He assesses each employee's level of proficiency in the respective competence (elementary, basic, advanced, master).

  • The participant indicates the level of competence development he/she wishes to have after the Booster.

  • The presenter demonstrates the necessary resources for the competence to be developed and implemented at the chosen level.

  • At the end of the meeting, each participant receives slides with guidelines and a personalised assignment for competence development.

  • The assignments are completed and monitored in the Booster Virtual Private Office (access to the materials is ensured for 1 year).

  • After completing the assignment, the participant works in a small group under the guidance of a certified facilitator who provides support.

  • On the basis of the results of each session, the participant begins to implement the competence learnt in his or her workplace.

    I decided to participate in the SWB based on the following reasons:

    -I have valuable experience of cooperation with the Galata Studio.

    This is not the first training course for me. Recently I participated in the booster “The Greatness of Attitude”, The teams of my both studio shops participated. It was a very valuable experience for us, which we use both in families and business. Thanks to the booster, several conflict situations were reduced both in our families and in the business. This training course helped me a lot in making agreements in various spheres of my life. It was also helpful in reducing stress caused by difficult situations. During the first quarantine in the spring, the skills which I learned while doing the booster helped me to negotiate with the landlords who rents to us for dwelling and business.

    – I was interested in more conscious and systematic running of my business, educating my employees, creating the “Golden standards” and mastering the “Golden competencies” that will help me to increase my profit, enlarge the scale of my business, and to make it flourish. I have a 17-year of experience in sales and 12 years in sales at Nuga Best, therefore it was very important for me to learn and train and to share my knowledge with my employees in a way so that it is understandable, simple, and applicable for them.

    – I attracted my managers and all the sellers in the booster so that to ensure the synergy of our development and to speak the same language.

    The trainer of the booster creates a supportive environment, which ensures easy training. For me, it is important that the trainer sets the direction, informs me about the main principles applicable, and I can choose how to move. The trainer gives tasks, by completing which you start making conscious actions and choices. It results in more conscious business operations, which increases the chance to repeat the success systematically, as you are aware of how you have achieved it. This consciousness helps to reduce the risk of loss. The trainer is not giving you a ready-made solution but helps you to think about a certain situation, process, choice, action, way of achieving your goals, helps to use your potential.

    I participated in the booster actively. I made my conscious choice to train. Although in the beginning, when I saw the schedule with the sessions twice a week in the evenings, I thought that this pace is too fast, especially for my employees. I thought it would interfere with the work I and my employees perform daily. Then I saw a benefit because my active participation in the booster will give me time finally to systematize those competencies which already working for me, but not for 10 points, and to start implementing the competencies, which was not working. I worked with every competence: the owner’s, the manager’s, and the seller’s competencies. Because I teach both directors and employees, It is important to have a good command of every competence.

    The main question for me is how, can I teach the employees efficiently and implement every competence so that it does not remain only on paper at a level “I know how to do it”, but also reaches the level “I am doing it”.

    During the training I started doing things I previously had no time to do. This was due to poor unconscious choices and lack of prioritizing during my daily routine. My level of consciousness increased, the stress and concerns about the employees failure to perform certain tasks was reduced.

    I outlined the competencies and started implementing them. Some of them are already working successfully. One of the main signs of progress noted is that, I can speak the same language as my employees because we are participating in the booster together. I managed to create several new agreements with my employees. This helped our team conduct productive meetings. The team became inspired, and we noticed an increase in their level of involvement. Thanks to the booster, I was able to create an improved model of telephone sales.  As a result of the training during the first lockdown when our studio shops were closed we, managed to reach the set monthly goals and also exceeded expectations by 20%.

    The booster is not finished, but continuing the process, helps me see possibilities to run my business more consciously and easily. Cooperate with my teams and create sustainable sincere relationships with our clients. I have developed the full awareness of a winning company. During the second quarantine, the company sales grew by 30%.Between the quarantines, the sales conversion was up from 25% to 60% per month on average.     I set three goals at the beginning of the booster.

    The first goal was to build up the courage to speak to people in a foreign language. I started to do it from the first session, although my voice was shaking. I even couldn’t hear myself. 

    The second goal was to have the courage to communicate and negotiate in conversations and communications with people who are much higher in rank than I am.

    And, the third goal was to be able to formulate a message in a way that it cannot be understood in any other way. This is when the desired result will be achieved. 

    I remember I was asked in week eleven: how much, in percentage terms, has each of my goals already been achieved?  And I realised that I have already achieved 100% in two goals – to communicate and to make my point of view clear, if necessary, to any officials, officers. As for formulating my thoughts for others, I certainly manage it 100% in Latvian. 

    The main thing I understood was that I realised my strengths and stopped taking all the blame and all the problems on myself! I can now distinguish where a mistake or a wrong action is really mine and where it is totally not mine and does not apply to me at all. In past, I used to have a hard time dealing with it. Moreover, when we created the agreement, I also pointed out that it was important for me to practice not showing that I get nervous in conversations, which makes me lose the message I need to convey. 

    I have had many different trainings. But the Studio Galata booster gave me more than all the trainings put together.

    I had three goals, one of which was to focus on the results that were important to achieve, that is, strategic, larger goals. Not to switch to operational activities constantly. I was very comfortable with it, I liked it, but at the same time other results were either not achieved in time or not achieved at all. 

    Over the course of the boosters, I have found how to work with it:

    Firstly, to stop controlling all operational activities, as I really enjoyed doing it and keeping everything completely under my control. And I was very motivated by trying to achieve small goals – to divide the goal into smaller goals and to realise that if I talked to the person today and we reached an agreement, then this is already a step forward towards a certain further result. And I am really now dividing the big goals into smaller ones and check whether I am on the right track. Whether I am going for the result that is expected of me. 

    My colleagues will confirm that I did not bother them asking what was going on in production today.

    My second goal was probably one of the most important for me, it was not to lose my resourceful state. Because any situation where something went wrong, any harsh talk pissed me off. And I really got the feel of the statement that I was not living my life at that moment, I was constantly ‘wrapped’ in this experience, constantly thinking about the situation and I could not let it go until it calmed down on its own.

    I can say that we have practiced this competence from the very beginning and I succeed in working with it. I have had a difficult period at work and in my personal life, which I had to get through in that time and, to be honest, it has been a long time since I have had such a challenge. 

    But whether in terms of work or health, I have never felt this loss of my resourceful state for a long time. Yes, I felt discomfort and I inner irritation, but I realised that I could already control it and bring it back to normal. And it absolutely gives you that inner stability for which it was actually worth coming to the booster and practising.

     

    The third goal I reformed was: How do I teach my team to be proactive and strive for a better result? I realised that it was not enough to say this, so I reformed my goal to make key leaders of their teams aware of their responsibility. What exactly they are responsible for. Rather than doing instead of them, rather than saying “This is what I expect”. But namely to make them understand this message. 

     

    What if I compare myself now and myself just having came to the booster? I came being very sceptical because I was thinking like ‘how many training courses have I already taken, give it a rest! I have a pile of certificates and nobody cares about them’.

    That is why I came with such a high degree of scepticism, but I always try to be open to new things and see what I can take for myself anyway.

    I can say that I have taken a lot for me personally and it has really helped me all the way from the first day up to now. And honestly, this environment around me, it was so open, especially in small groups. Interestingly, in my life, I can only be so open with very close people. The whole environment motivated me to be able to talk about my charmless feelings or situations and discuss it quite easily, and that is really very valuable, thank you for that! In fact, I am grateful to Studio Galata for the whole booster, because it was worth it.
